This course is designed to cultivate students’ understanding of the tie between language and culture and further appreciate it. Through a brief introduction of music, songs, slang, TV series, movies, musicals, novels, poetry, plays…, and all sorts of ways demonstrating the use of language, students will be able to tackle the beauty of language and the aesthetics of culture.
