本課程的目標旨在讓學生能透過國際性藝術觀點，瀏覽世界各地重要的藝術文化資產，對不同國家、不同地域的藝術形態有所認識，涵蓋了景觀與建築藝術、平面繪畫、立體雕塑欣賞等課題，以提升同學對藝術的興趣，擴大國際藝術觀，除了對學生自我本身的氣質陶冶外，也能將藝術廣泛運用在人生的各階段上，延伸藝術的觸角來品味人生、享受人生，並增進學生未來就業多面向廣泛之連結為最終目的。
The purposes of this course are for education students to be able to look at important art and culture heritage everywhere in the world through viewpoint of international art, to encourage them to apply art to every stage of life widely, and to help them enhance their links with diverse and wide aspects for their future career.
The contents of the course include art for landscape and architecture, graphic drawings and paintings, three-dimensional sculpture, and introduction to art appreciation of representative art works of the world.
