Objective: To enhance students’ proficiency and to increase workplace competitiveness. To reach this objective, there will be weekly quizzes and weekly feedback. The course will be heavily focused on learning by doing. Lecturing will be kept at the barest minimum achievable. Classes will be held workshop style, a radical departure from traditional lecture style education.

Quizzes and homework quizzes count for at least 5% each. Failure to submit completed assignment/quiz will yield a zero as a score. No makeup allowed, unless there is a certified legitimate reason. Makeup must be done within one week, with the exception of unusual and/or unforeseen extenuating circumstances that render makeup of quizzes/homework an impossibility. Up to 2-3 low quiz scores may be exempted from calculating semester scores, pending teacher discretion.

Please review scoring weight (below) for specific details. Teacher is expected to speak 30-80% English. Students 50-100% English. Must pay attention in class. Smartphone use, if abused, will result in scoring penalty (see below for details). Tardiness and disrespect towards teacher/students will not be tolerated, will be recorded accordingly, and will result in point deductions of up to 10%. Those who refuse to learn will be exposed for their lack of effort.
