The purpose of this course is to introduce students with the theory and practice of TESOL to children and children’s language development in social-emotional, cognitive, and physical areas. Students will also be taught four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing teaching techniques and lesson plans.

1. Introduce an overview of children’s overall development as well as their language development.
2. Introduce a variety of strategies and methodologies for teaching four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) teaching techniques.
3. Integrated multimedia and technologies to enhance students’ learning and teaching.
4. Integrate a variety of verbal, non-verbal, multimedia and technological communication in the foreign/second language learning/teaching environment.
5. Culture awareness and English proficiency evaluation will also be addressed.
