The course aims to help students develop the tools they need to communicate successfully in English when they enter the workplace. Students read various samples based on authentic materials and typical of the most common workplace situations. They learn key vocabulary, text types, and language patterns in the context of workplace usage. In addition, they practice reading skills that are most useful in a workplace setting, such as identifying main ideas, skimming, and scanning. They familiarize themselves with the most common forms of writing encountered in the workplace, from resume to email to business letter.
