The purpose of English (2) is to introduce students to the most used phrases, idioms, and high frequency words encountered in various informal English speaking environments. In addition, some practice in speaking will be a core component of this course.
This course is suitable for students already in the workplace or are planning to seek employment that will have a high likelihood of using English in the workplace environment.
This course will be taught at a very basic, elementary level (CEFR A2-B1 Level), to ensure that most students are able to grasp the main ideas presented.
Course content will include various topics that may be encountered in the business environment. Topics will likely be in the area of international trade and/or working abroad in an English speaking country, but will be adjusted according to the needs of the students during the first week of the semester to ensure practicality and applicability.
