This course is designed to develop oral skills for EFL students, whose proficiency level is predominantly pre-intermediate. By focusing on a range of topics, it is expected that students will improve their conversational skills in asking and answering questions, listening comprehension, and participating in class discussions. Topics covered include introducing ourselves/our friends, describing events, people or objects, discussing past and future events, and exchanging ideas about life experiences. Specifically, this course seeks to:
-- develop students’ communication skills in a variety of social situations, and
-- inspire students to consider conversation as a give and take relationship, where one speaks but one must also listen in an actively engaging way.
