1.The course aims to develop and improve student’s listening and speaking skills. Furthermore, it aims to equip students will a set of tools that will help them listen to and speak English in the real world. When they complete each task at class, they should feel more confident in their English-listening abilities, and be eager to get out in the real-life and apply the skills learned at course. Throughout the course, students will hear a number of different listening passages related to the topic the unit. Students will listen to passages in different ways— for gist and details— and use strategies to answer the pious types of questions in the unit. The Extended Listening section of the course lets students apply the skills and vocabulary they have practiced at class while The Real English section will give them some focused language listening practice. Last, the Pronunciation section will help them develop more natural sounding English when they are speaking.

2. There are several important features of the course:
Real-life Tasks: The tasks students do at class are based on the kinds of listening ha they do in real life, such as following directions listening to telephone messages and understanding announcements.

* Real-life Language: The listening materials are also taken from real life. Students will hear many different kinds of recorded language, including conversations, telephone messages, sore announcements, news and weather broadcasts, and more.

* Learning Strategies: In addition to teaching students new languages skills, the course focuses on learning strategies. In completing the tasks at class, students will use strategies that will improve heir listening inside and out side the classroom.

* Self-Study Practice: After class, you can get extra listening practice by completing the Self-Study Practice sections.
